How to place an Easy Order in Encompass

This guide explains how an Encompass user (such as, but not limited to, a Loan Officer, Loan Processor) can use the "Easy Order" feature with GridBase® to quickly order Title services with minimal clicks in Encompass.

Using Encompass Easy Order with GridBase®

Before you begin, this guide assumes that an Encompass administrator at your organization has already enabled GridBase® in your Encompass environment and has already configured Easy Order options.

Encompass Smart Client (Desktop Application)

The Encompass Smart Client, which is its Windows desktop application, does not include direct support for Easy Order functionality. However, you may open a loan in the pipeline, click the Open Web View button at the top right (in the blue toolbar) and follow the steps below from there.

Note: The Open Web Version button described above is only visible when the Encompass Smart Client's window is large enough. If you cannot find this button (typically near the Search All Regs and eFolder buttons), try maximizing your Encompass Smart Client window.

Encompass LO Connect (Web View)

  1. Open a loan in the pipeline.
  2. On the left side, scroll down and find the Services section. Click All Services under it.
  3. Find the Title and Closing category. On the right of this line, you will find a small right-arrow that shows Launch Easy Order when you hover your mouse pointer over it. Click this arrow icon.
     
  4. Select GridBase® on the right.
  5. Select the appropriate option on the right if applicable.
  6. Click Submit to place your order.
