Configuring Easy Order options for Encompass

This guide explains how a lender's Encompass administrator can configure the "Easy Order" feature with GridBase® to enable quick ordering of Title services with minimal clicks in Encompass.

Getting Started

Before you begin, this guide assumes that GridBase has already been enabled in your Encompass environment.

Open your web browser and navigate to the Encompass portal (EPC).
  1. At the very top-right corner of the screen, click the tiles icon to open the menu, and click the Admin tile to navigate to the administration area.
  2. Next, expand the Services area on the left side of the screen and click the Services Management menu item.
  3. Find GridBase® and click Setup Service on the bottom-right of the tile.

Plan and coordinate with GridBase® and your Title Provider(s)

Each Title Provider from which you order will most likely have its own, unique configuration for each product you order from them as a Lender. Each use-case will need to be planned for before configuring. Some examples for use-cases are provided below to help jumpstart your discussions and planning:
  1. Order Title from Title Provider A for Refinance
  2. Order Title from Title Provider A for Purchase
  3. Order Title from Title Provider B for Purchase (VA Loan)
  4. Order Property Report from Title Provider C for HELOC
  5. Order Property Report from Title Provider D for Loan Default
Regardless of whether during or after the initial onboarding, contact the GridBase® team so we may guide all parties through this collaborative process to ensure a smooth and accurate configuration.

Creating a new Easy Order option

Near the bottom of the screen, you will now see an Easy Order section. Click the Add button on the right.
  1. In the Service Setup Name field, enter a descriptive name that concisely describes which Title Provider you wish to order from. This name can also include the relevant loan purposes and/or types if appropriate. So building on the example use-cases above, this could include a name like: Order Title from Title Provider A (Purchase - not VA, Refinance).
  2. Next, find the Easy Order Options section in the middle, and click the Add button on the right.
    1. Enter a descriptive but concise Name for the ordering option. You may optionally reference the examples given in the planning section above for high-level guidance in possible naming conventions.
    2. Collaborate with the GridBase® team and the relevant Title Provider to configure the remaining values, including Request Type, Integration Id, Product, Transaction.
    3. Changes are automatically saved. When done, click the X at the top-right (just above the GridBase Easy Order Options section).
  3. Find the Authorized Users section at the bottom, and add any relevant Encompass Users and/or Personas that should have access to this ordering option.
